Do you see it yet?

Art 3 students had to incorporate text into their work.  They also got to choose their medium!

I think they enjoyed being able to choose their own projects and medium. It gave them the freedom to do what they wanted and be as creative as they wanted. This was the outcome of a couple of them!

Totally started art 4 post it mural!!  It's going to be 8 feet high and 11 feet long!  Huge!!
We chose Malala Yousafzai as our iconic figure!
At 14 she stood up for her rights to learn and was shot by the Taliban for voicing her opinion. At 16 she is an education activist, wrote a book about her experiences (I Am Malala) and is nominated for the noble peace prize!!  We can learn a lot from her. Check out the link below! Watch the Jon Stewart video!  She is amazing!

OMG I just made a Puppet with my daughter!

I used this link to help us create the head.

We cut foam and glued it all together, then we added fleece, felt, a ton of fur for his hair and beard.  Wish his hair was a bit more red.
He still needs a paintbrush and palette, he's done.
I'm pretty proud of him!

I love teaching my ceramics classes!  While searching my pictures I found these slab cakes!  They look so real! Don't you just want to eat them?

They did an amazing job!

I have been inspired this year to change the way I do things!  I have found another teacher who uses an open art classroom and allows more free thinking on the students part!  I am going to try this second semester. So bear with me as we try this journey together!  Thank you Mr. Sands.

Below are links to your blogs, I have been dying to do this in class but couldn't find a way to do it. Now that we have more technology we are going to give it a go! So far they are looking good!
